Television

I use to think that television was intended for educational purposes but a closer consideration of the psychology of television prolonged viewing lead me to believe that my previous assumptions were fallacious so being that said it has shown positive and negative attribute due to the content that is viewed. Television is not only a positive hindrance to human mankind it is actually a toxic waste to the brain and the world itself. Now I know it is use by corporations, to fill most our American’s minds and others with propagandas and advertisement spoofs. Television has been an escape from the complicated world we live in with all our individual problems that are solved out day by day. Viewing television has been like a gateway trip from all your worries, and also in life it can become a comfort zone for the less proactive person. Television is a mass communication vehicle that can send highly influential product to the simple minded Americans that too view more than five hour of television daily. Despite how informative TV can be with such channels as the weather station to keep viewers up to date on weather daily or weeks ahead to prepare prior to any outdoor events such as triple keggers on the train track. Also the News channel has current topics and event thru out the Nations to inform viewers or people whom don’t consider reading a physical copy of a newspaper to also get their unhealthy dose of political encounters. TV can present to you all the “Luxuries of life and so called comfort that is not only indispensible but positive hindrance to the elevation of mankind. Which are also parrell believe by Henry Thoreau a transcendentalist that view like as an more closer value then the common human believes it is worth. I am saying television is a great but it is not a necessity in order to live life for all it is worth. If anything the question of our social responsibilities, television is the visual reason why most people that live in America like the things they do. Just as a fashionable trend setter for the entire nation to receive the message from a source to a receiver the social shape the way we think or feel and act television is the vehicle by which message are conveyed.

The History of Barber

The graphic approach I took with this piece is just a mirror of the trade I practice everyday. The history of the barber poster convey a simple design with supporting information about the trade. The poster gives information about the ancient trade with example of fresh well done hair done by me, one of the best feature about this piece is the scissor with characters I made that is depicted to be a customer in the chair on the left side of the tool and the barber on the opposite of the scissor. This piece is directed to the demographic of males that are in need of a barber to enhance their appearance by getting a haircut, the trade of barber overtime has became an art I personally see it as a subtractive art just like people who make scultures. This piece is not really reader friendly it actually take a different approach to comprehending the art of being a barber. The poster creates balance and also flow there not to many feature that are repeated but viewer get the idea of this piece is about the history of the barber. The color also play a huge role in this design to the the significant meanings to the color Blue, red , and white.Red represented blood and white, the bandages. Another interpretation says red and blue respectively stood for arterial and venous blood, and white was for the bandages. The rule of third is emphasis in this piece with a balance of alignment that lets the viewer know the order in which to read the art.
